Dieter
Bros. purchased the old Metzler Bros. Drive Inn in
1997. The original Metzler Bros. was established
in 1947 in Oklahoma, and later relocated in Lindsay, TX
in 1960. The business was operated by the Metzler
family
until its sale to the Dieters in 1997.
After a period of remodel, the Dieter Bros, Pat and John re-opened the restaurant
for business. Dieter Bros Restaurant is located 4 miles West of Gainesville,
TX on U.S. Hwy. 82 in the small town of Lindsay TX (Near Gainesville Municipal
Airport).
Dieter Bros. feature the full compliment of smoked meats: brisket, German sausage,
pork ribs, BBQ chicken, ham, and turkey. All of the vegetables are made fresh
in house. Dieters also has one of the best pizzas around, with a special cheese,
home-made pizza sauce, and all the toppings. How can
two Krauts make such good pizza?! Also featured are steaks, German food and please try the catfish, breaded
fresh and deep fried.
Dieter Bros. has been fortunate over the years to have maintained a steady and
reliable workforce. Our employees are a large part of our sucess. We strive to
provide a great dinning experience each and every day, time after time for all
patrons.
